Battle O’ Baltimore Highlights

The sixth annual Battle O’ Baltimore rocked on September 15 with hundreds on hand to cheer 26 high school teams and robots competing in our 3-on-3 basketball game, “Rebound Rumble”.

The winning alliance of teams included Team 2200 Robo-Lions from Liberty High School, Team 888 Robotiators from Glenelg High School and Team 4067 The Incredible Hawk from River Hill High School.  The Mike Wade Engineering Award went to Team 2528 Robo-Doves from Western High School.  See the full list of 2012 award winners.

We gratefully thank our hosts at New Town High School in Owings Mills and the volunteers and organizers from the Baltimore Area Alliance of FIRST Robotics Competition teams.

The Battle O’ Baltimore, an off-season FRC event, is a fun and friendly way to get teams back into gear with the new school season, recruit new team members and grow the FIRST community.  We thank everyone involved for their energy and enthusiasm.

We’ve got a ton of great photos thanks to the tireless Marco Ciavolino of Techbrick and Team 3941 Absolute Zero Electricity.  See them here, separated into handy folders:
